But they do combine electricity, water, and a powerful motor in one unit, which means a handful of safety basics are worth knowing whether you're running one in a warehouse, on a job site, or on a patio.

Before you even plug it in
Check the power requirements match your outlet. Larger units, especially the Polar-Jet 36, draw more current than a standard household circuit is built for in some setups. Confirm voltage and amperage before connecting, and avoid daisy-chaining multiple high-draw devices off the same circuit.
Inspect the unit after shipping. Cooling pads, tanks, and motor housings can shift in transit.
